Many of our youth today are falling through the cracks and are fed up with being lectured. They are aware of the problems in their lives, but many do not stop and consider the long term impact their decisions will have on their future.
It has been said that we forget most of what we hear but will remember what we experience for a lifetime. There is a big difference between talking about a car wreck verses actually being in one. This is where the Beat the Odds program is very effective in reaching the hearts of the youth. They get to see Bob “Beat the Odds” on the court prior to him ever telling them how to “Beat the Odds” in their personal lives.
